It’s frustrating. It’s all in my chest and sinuses. I’m coughing a super lame dry cough. I haven’t been for a workout since Tuesday. I’m even calling in sick to work today.
I hope that if I rest up all weekend I will be ready for my first weight session of 2012. I’m too excited to back out.
Here are my measurements, as of today.
Neck :: 11.5”
Left Arm :: 11”
Right Arm :: 11”
Wrist :: 5.75”
Chest :: 34”
Waist :: 27”
Abdomen :: 29.5”
Hips :: 37”
Left Thigh :: 22”
Right Thigh :: 22.5”
Calf :: 14.5”
I’ll measure myself on the first of each month - to see if any changes are going. I do not like to think about my weight much. I have been working very hard in the weight room, while the numbers on the scale have not changed much over the past few months, I know I have gained a fair amount of muscle mass. It’s a good thing.
My digital presence is so public, working in a field where your online persona has too much value. I’m creating a little space of the internet where I can divulge those little secrets that I would never post on my facebook or twitter.
In all honestly though, the bulk of this blog is fitness based. I want a place to track my workouts, and just be inspired by the wonderful fitness tumblrs out there. (you never know, I might get more personal)
I’ve had an on-and-off active lifestyle, with huge bouts of yoga over the past 3 years. I love yoga. Over the past been working out in the gym for the past 5 months and discovered a passion for weight lifting. The sense of accomplishment and pride I get from squatting over my body weight, or doing my first chin ups by myself, is everything.
This isn’t a NY resolution blog, or anything of the source, I just want to keep moving - and while the memories of my successes are etched on my body, I’m looking for that little extra permanence by documenting my experiences… without having to spread the word to everyone I know
